Glenn's Getting Married! Glenn's Favourite 50 Club Med Photos

Brucie
Well you know what they say, you wouldn't read about it, but Glenn Davis is getting married! A huge congratulations to you and Chloe, I so wish I could be there and it was such an honour to be invited. Chloe, I can't wait to meet you one day!

Glenn, those memories from the start of the decade are as strong as ever. The laughs we had, the fun we shared and the friendships we forged made this probably the most ridiculously fun - as well as most ridiculous - chapter of my life.

Despite wild rumours of me having been a diva whose ego occasionally got in the way of fully embracing life as a highly-abused DJ and shirtless tennis player to the guests of a tired 3-star resort, what is life all about if not the people we meet who have a positive impact on us and vice-versa?

As in, it might've coincided with an much-written about lull in my career, but with the brilliant people whose lives I'll be forever grateful I crossed paths with, those six months were a once-in-a-lifetime blessing and a joy.

2nd-Hole Sundays, your ice-cream 'n' chips-based diet, your outstanding capabilities as a set-designer, climbing Mt Oldfield, that time we got busted trying to go to another island, swimming in the fancy pools on Hamilton Island, Way-Wen, the permanently out-of-order Coke machine, Paddy rolling his eyes when guests would arrive for archery, Kulikitaka, official warnings every day, the Riddle, Brucie trying to sneak into the main restaurant, Brucie mixing up which bags to which rooms, "Brucie & Neil" the duo, Neil taking his empty suitcase to the bottle store at Airlie Beach, the Gong Show, the alarming penchant for cross-dressing, Julien The French Baker, Roger The Purchasing Manager, Climbing Man, "you work that hoop, Sport!", the projector Polo always wanted us to fix, 20-minute welcome speeches, that time there was human faeces in the pool...

I wouldn't swap those times with you and the other Brucies for the world. Thanks for being my best mate on that tiny island (bigger in size than Hamilton Island!) almost 10 years (and 10-kilograms) ago. Chloe, you've nabbed yourself a mighty fine young Brucie!

Now hurry up and book a trip to New Zealand.

All the best for the big day, protective man-hugs from me and enjoy the photos below - I hope it's a nice trip down memory lane.

Brucie

PS. The world needs your joyous dancing now more than ever!
